Let’s torque about this..

Do you have Assault AirBikes in your gym? If so, do you have one of these?

This is a torque wrench. It allows bolts to be tightened to a specifically set torque.

The Assault AirBike Manual lists a maintenance requirement for bi-weekly tightening of crank and bell-crank bolts to 50Nm. This needs to be done with a torque wrench set to this value, and maintenance records should also be kept to show this has been done. Buying a torque wrench with a factory-tested certificate is advisable, as is regular recalibration.

Assault AirBike issues are common, particular in the pedal areas, which are most likely due to this maintenance oversight, therefore the gym itself would probably be held responsible for any incidents/accidents that occurred due to lack of maintenance.
