Post-Lockdown: Cleaning Equipment
1. Can you programme cleaning time into class schedules and oversee it to ensure it is done?
2. Can you make it an instructor-led procedure?
3. Can you schedule classes with a break in-between for members to leave safely and extra cleaning to be done before the next class arrives?
4. Have you determined the best cleaner(s) for various items?
5. Have you investigated how long the cleaning solution needs to be in contact with items to be effective and how to manage this?
6. Have you carried out a COSHH assessment for those cleaners and labelled any additional containers used with the chemical details?
7. Have you thought about what PPE may need to be provided, or at least to have available, for anyone handling cleaning substances?
8. Have you thought about how you will manage cross-contamination from handling the cleaning supplies?
9. Have you thought about disposal of waste from the cleaning process and contacted your refuse collection service to determine if they have any specific disposal instructions for this waste?
10. Have you got templates ready to ensure cleaning measures are recorded and documented?
Again, if you need help with any of these questions please get in touch. We have loved helping those who have reached out so far!
